However, May and June is the best time to plan for Chardham Yatra as it becomes comfortable due to pleasant climatic conditions. Chardham Yatra will start on 3rd May 2023 & close on 26th October 2023 (tentative). Kedarnath and Badrinath temples will open on 6th May and 8th May, respectively.

It is said that the path is more important than the destination. When you do the Chardham yatra by road, you realize the fact for it is the trek along the route and the time spent in the company of other pilgrims, and devotees that makes the yatra actually worth it.
Pilgrims should avoid meeting elder persons (above 65 years) and minors (below 10 years) during their visit to Shrine. Pregnant ladies, Infants & pilgrims less than 10 years & above 65 years are advised to avoid the char dham yatra. This e-Pass is valid only for the Darshan at Temple during the visit to the Shrine.
It is the only shrine in India, where goddess, Subhadra, sister of Lord Krishna is worshipped along with her brothers, Lord Jagannatha and Lord Balabhadra. The main temple here is about 1000 years old and constructed by Raja Choda Ganga Deva and Raja Tritiya Ananga Bhima Deva.

The weather at the places where the Char Dham temples are located is extremely pleasant, cool and comfortable from April to June. From June to September, heavy showers occur, and although there is occurrence of landslides, you can visit Char Dham during these months too.
