What You Can Expect

This 7-day experience begins in Kerala. Check into the Cochin and explore the city, the capital of the Kerala, at leisure. One of the advantages of visiting a coastal state is the opportunity to spend some time on wonderful beaches. The beaches of Kerala are very well kept and offer wonderful views. You can relax in a hammock, sunbathe or enjoy a spectacular sunset.

Day 1: - Cochin

Arrive Cochin Airport or Ernakulum Railway Station, meet with our representative/driver and be transferred to the hotel. The commercial capital and the most cosmopolitan city of Kerala, Cochin in Ernakulam, is also known as the Queen of the Arabian Sea. With one of the finest harbors on the Arabian Sea coast, Cochin has been a port of call for foreign traders from early times. Its cosmopolitan character is reflected in the buildings and structures representing different regions of the world. Breakfast at the hotel.

Day 2: -Cochin to Thekkady (200 Km/ 4 hrs)

After an early morning breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady (200 km – 05 hr drive); on arrival check-in into hotel. Rest of the day is at your disposal to enjoy at leisure. Overnight/Breakfast at the hotel.

Day 3: - Thekkady (110Km/ 4 hrs)

After breakfast we proceed to Thekkady. Periyar (Thekkady) Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the well-maintained wildlife sanctuaries of South India and it spreads out over an area of 777 sq kms. The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar dam across the Periyar River adds to the charm of the park. This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. Check in at hotel for 01 night. Evening free stroll through the bustling spice market of Kumili village.

Day 4: -Thekkady - Kumarakom (110Km/ 4 hrs)

After breakfast we proceed to Kumarakom, a small backwater village which lies along the backwaters of Kerala with a bird sanctuary overlooking the Vembanad Lake. Here you can get a feel of the essence of a typical village life of Kerala. Breakfast at the hotel.

Day 5: -Kumarakom to Alappuzha (35Km / 01 hrs)

Breakfast. Checkout and drive to Alleppey. By noon, embark on a Houseboat for an overnight cruise. Cruise through the palm fringed canals; watch the Paddy fields, village folk, relax on board hearing lullaby of the wind and waves. This mysterious strip of emerald, green land is stuffed with endless miles of placid backwaters that appends to its charm. Cruise till 6 in the evening by when the houseboat halts in the lake for overnight stay. (Next day, cruising starts at 7.30 am.) Unwind yourself watching the endless strips of greenery passing by you while the boat moves in a relaxing pace.

Day 6: -Alappuzha

This day you will enjoy backwaters also known as Venice of the east by its special geographical features as the place is famous for its vast back water stretches and paddy fields. By 12 pm you can board your houseboat to explore the back waters and its serene beauty. Enjoy the ride through the lagoons and isolated island villages of Vembanadu Backwaters; have your delicious cuisines and an overnight stay onboard.

Day7:-Alleppey - Cochin (55 KMS/60 MINUTES)

Breakfast. Depart for Trivandrum Railway station/Airport on time for onward journey
